Tesla announces it is relocating its headquarters to Texas, Stellantis will remodel three Indiana plants to produce hybrid-compatible transmissions, and GM's battery maker will pay the automaker nearly $2 billion due to the ongoing Chevrolet Bolt recall.

Stellantis will invest $229 million into reworking three of its Indiana manufacturing plants to produce a transmission that could appear in its offering of future electric vehicles. 

Stellantis' Jeep Cherokee assembly plant in Belvidere, Ill., will shutdown through the rest of the month due to the ongoing semiconductor shortage.
