Tech Partnership Aims to Automate

March 16, 2021—Luminar Technologies, an autonomous vehicle sensor and LiDAR company, has partnered with Volvo's self-driving software subsidiary, Zenseact. 

The two companies are combining to develop and eventually sell an automated driving system, as reported by TechCrunch

Volvo will be the first customer of the new technology, which has been described as hands-free and eye-free, and would be the first of its kind.
