Rumors of GM Ramping Up EV Production

March 5, 2021—General Motors may build a second electric vehicle factory in the U.S., reports The Verge.
The automaker has set a goal to reach carbon neutrality by 2040 and a second plant dedicated to producing electric vehicles may help them get there.
Though a final location has yet to be named, the factory will be built in collaboration with LG Chem, a South Korean battery maker. More details are expected to be released in the first half of this year.
