Data Prove EVs Gaining Adoption

Feb. 24, 2021—The IHS Markit, an information provider, is projecting that in 2021, electric cars will nearly double their market share from 2020.
Last December, EVs accounted for 2.8 percent of new registered vehicles. While that may seem small, the Road Show reports that the figure has tripled since 2017. This year, the firm believes electric cars will make up 3.5 percent of the market share.
According to the data, drivers who switch to EVs are sticking with them, buying another one when it's time to trade in.
