Feb. 17, 2021—Hyundai has released details into its newly designed 2022 Kona Electric.

The upcoming model features slimmer headlights and a new front-end design as compared to the 2021 model. According to Motor Trend, the 2022 Kona EV functions using a single electric motor and puts out 201 horsepower.

The EPA has yet to rate the Kona's driving range, but Hyundai has advertised it as 258 miles. When hooked up to a DC fast charger, the Kona can go from 10 percent battery charge to 80 percent in just 47 minutes. The 2022 Kona Electric is rumored to go on sale as soon as this spring.
