Feb. 9, 2021—Hyundai and Kia claim to no longer be talking with Apple about building its autonomous electric car project.

According to The Verge, the companies have been downplaying rumors since mentioning Apple in a statement last month.

Bloomberg reported that discussions were "recently paused," but whether or not they will resume is still up for debate.

Renowned Apple analyst, Ming-chi Kuo, believes Apple plans to use Hyundai's E-GMP platform to produce its electric vehicles, though it is years away, reports The Verge.
