EV Group Debuts Electrification Roadmap

Order Reprints

Jan. 25, 2021—The Zero Emission Transportation Association (ZETA) recently published its roadmap to reach 100 percent electric vehicle sales by 2030, by making the transition to EVs "a federal priority."

According to AutoConnectedCar, the comprehensive roadmap consists of 34 policy proposals across six pillars. The pillars include: light-duty EV consumer adoption, medium- and heavy-duty electrification, a national charging initiative, the encouragement of domestic manufacturing, performance and emissions standards, and federal leadership.

Proposed policies include a vehicle retirement incentive program to promote the adoption of electric vehicles over internal combustion engines, a Clean School Bus Act that will electrify school buses across the country, and a $30 billion investment into charging infrastructure, to name a few.
