Volvo Ramps Up BEV Production

Jan. 15, 2021—To meet consumer demand, Volvo says it will triple production at its Ghent, Belgium plant.
The plant was the production site of Volvo's first battery electric vehicle, the XC40, and plug-in hybrid versions, reports Wards Auto.
In 2020, the Belgium plant produced 194,890 vehicles. Now, the factory will take on a second BEV model, planned to go into production later this year.
