Jeep Debuts New Model, Including Hybrid

Jan. 11, 2021—Jeep has announced its fifth-generation Grand Cherokee L, which comes with three rows of seats. 

The new model is powered by a 3.6-liter Penstar V6 and offers 290 horsepower with 257 pound per feet of torque. The Drive, reports that the Grand Cherokee L features advanced driver assistance systems including active braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, brake assist, and blind-spot monitoring, with future plans for additional semi-autonomous features. 

The automaker says a two-row variant as well as a plug-in hybrid model will go into production by the end of the year.

The 2021 Grand Jeep Cherokee L is expected to start at $40,000 and go on sale this spring.
