Dec.  , 2020—The Los Angeles Police Department bought 100 BMW i3 models and is now selling each of them, despite none of them having more than 10,000 miles driven on them.

The BMW i3 is light duty electric vehicle with only 81 miles in driving range. According to The Drive, taxpayers had to dole out more than $10,267,699 to lease the fleet of BMWs and build the necessary charging infrastructures in the city.

As of Sunday, there was only one of the vehicles left, but it was recently purchased for $18,995.
