Dec. 9, 2020—Ford Motor Company has teamed up with The Education Fund, a nonprofit in Miami-Dade County, to conduct food deliveries using autonomous vehicles.

According to Medium, Ford is participating in an eight week program as part of The Education Fund's Food Forests for Schools program. The program has food forests at local schools where they grow fresh fruits and vegetables for students to take home to their families.

The automaker is using Ford Fusion Hybrid self-driving test vehicles to deliver fresh bags of produce to 50 students and their families each week.
