Nov. 23, 2020—The Fremont Police Department in California has been testing Tesla Model S 85 vehicles to see how it measures up to traditional law enforcement vehicles.

According to Tech Times, the police force found the Tesla model to "exceed performance as well as operational objectives." The vehicle required minimum maintenance while also being more cost efficient by saving on fuel.

The Fremont Police Department is also testing electric and hybrid vehicles like the 2021 Ford Hybrid Explorer to find the best alternative.
