NASA Teams Up With Air Travel Company

Nov. 17, 2020—NASA is teaming up with Wisk, an Urban Air Mobility company, to safely integrate autonomous aircraft systems into Urban Air Mobility applications.
According to a press release, the partnership is part of NASA's Advanced Air Mobility national campaign strategy which will start by focusing on safety scenarios, collision avoidance, and flight path management.
“Our partnership with NASA will bring together our market-leading expertise in autonomy with the unmatched technical capabilities of NASA,” said Gary Gysin, CEO of Wisk, in a press release. “The frameworks and recommendations developed through this collaboration will not only advance autonomous passenger flight but also increase the overall safety of aviation.”
