Tesla to Issue Refund For Troublesome Chip

Nov. 12, 2020—Tesla has announced that it will refund owners of the older Model S and Model X electric vehicles for out-of-pocket repair costs.
Tesla will be picking up the bill after a defect was discovered in its main computer unit (MCU), which only allows for limited "write cycles."
Yahoo reports that Tesla will also extend warranties on the models in order to provide no-cost repairs for drivers.
