Ferrari Clings to Internal Combustion Engines

Nov. 5, 2020—Ferrari's CEO says the brand has no intention of converting to electric-only vehicles.
According to a recent article by AutoBlog, Ferrari plans to continue to develop vehicles with internal combustion engines. Electrification is still on the automaker's to-do list, but a fully electric bay of Ferrari's may never see the light.
"My own sense is that to sort of say 100 percent electric, that's pushing things. I really don't see Ferrari ever being at 100 percent electric vehicles. And, certainly not in my lifetime it will reach even 50%," said Louis Camilleri, the company's 65-year old CEO, during a conference call with investors, as reported by AutoBlog.
