Sept. 4, 2020—TomTom, a company that specializes in autonomous technology, has recently announced a new product that aims to create safer autonomous driving experiences.

TomTom's new technology, RoadCheck, will allow automakers to manage where it is safe to allow drivers to activate their autonomous driving functions. In areas with inclement weather, poor signals, and road construction, the autonomous features would be limited and the driver would have primary control, until those conditions pass.

According to Tech Republic, TomTom RoadCheck will be available in 2021 production models, beginning in the U.S.
