July 30, 2020—The respiratory pandemic has caused car-owners quite a bit of stress in the recent months but Hyundai hopes to address consumer's cleanliness concerns with their latest technology, three new air bag systems.

The three new systems, which were developed to improve air quality in vehicles are called After-Blow, Multi-Air Mode, and Fine Dust Indicator. After-Blow is designed to prevent mold from growing in the air-conditioning system, an issue that affects warm weather climates. Multi-Air Mode can be switched on and off as needed and is intended to disperse the air throughout the vehicle. Finally, the Fine Dust Indicator system measures air quality and pollution levels inside the vehicle and generates a report for the driver.

According to, Hyundai plans to release the technology in South Korea first, and then worldwide.
