July 7, 2020—The Bargersville, Ind., police department is reportedly happy with its investment in Tesla Model 3 cruisers. Electrek reports that the cars are on their way to a break-even point in less than two years.

The department saves around $6,000 in gas per year over the old Dodge Chargers, the story says.

Bargersville Police Chief Todd Bertram has commented that he was impressed with the power and capabilities of the cars when they adopted the Model 3s for the fleet.
