June 10, 2020—Development of the 2021 Lexus IS sports sedan is postponed indefinitely, reports Autoblog.

The company planned to unveil the new model this month but announced that it was pulling back due to "the recent global situation," the story says.

Citing other reports, Autoblog says the car is expected to be a rear-wheel-drive sports sedan with an all-wheel-drive option. It will be built on one of the company's current platforms and will be offered with internal combustion engine options.
