Tech Grants to Target 'Mobility Challenges'

June 1, 2020—The Michigan Economic Development Corp. will give grants to five companies that are working toward technological transportation solutions, reports The Detroit News.
The companies are working on self-driving vehicles that provide contactless deliveries, self-disinfecting technology and, more simply, pedestrian barriers in the Detroit metro area.
One of the grants are going to a North Carolina-based company, Pratt Miller, that is developing a disinfecting robot that could autonomously work in areas like airports, according to the report.
The grants total $280,000.
