Order Reprints

May 12, 2020—Mercedes-Benz aims to make its MBUX infotainment technology more proactive and empathetic, reported CNET.

The artificial intelligence (AI) software lets the driver search for destinations, control vehicle functions and more. According to company data and the report, 80 percent of customers view voice as the system's most important control element.

Mercedes-Benz might offer the option to remove the wake-up word and command, "Hey, Mercedes" that activates the AI technology.

The company is looking to improve the technology's response time and roll out more connected services.
