Foxconn, VW Could Partner on Scout Brand

Nov. 30, 2022—Technology manufacturer Foxconn could assist Volkswagen to produce an electric Scout vehicle.

Electrek reports that the classic Scout nameplate could soon be reborn as an electric SUV. Volkswagen owns the rights to the brand name.

Foxconn is a Taiwanese manufacturer that has produced electronics like smartphone and televisions. It has other vehicle contracts in the works with Indi EV, Monarch Tractors, and Fisker, according to Electrek.
