Nov. 29, 2022—Toyota has launched the Innova HyCross, a hybrid version of an existing family SUV in India.

Reuters reports that the announcement is part of a push by Toyota to offer more fuel-efficient options in the Indian market. The Urban Cruise HyRyder is its gasoline-engine counterpart.

The news outlet added that a full electric vehicle push isn't yet in the cards for India, which lacks sufficient charging infrastructure.
