Tesla Design Could Be More Expensive to Fix

March 30, 2020—The Tesla Model Y will be more expensive to fix after a collision due to its rear hatch, reported The Drive.

The rear hatch extends into part of the roof and the rear bumper, according to the report. There's a greater chance of it being damaged in a collision and costs more to repair or replace.

The Model Y repair cost is similar to Tesla's Model X. Model X owners say replacing bumper covers costs between $1,500 and $2,000.
