Oct. 3, 2022—The Amazon Echo Auto is getting an upgrade that allows for better vehicle integration.

According to Engadget, Amazon made the announcement during its 2022 Device and Services event last week. The device will have a more secure mounting system for placing inside the vehicle. Voice commands will allow users to utilize many features including function that can switch audio that's playing inside of a home to continue into the vehicle.

Drivers can also use the Echo Auto for hands-free calling and navigational purposes. Additionally, Engadget reported that Amazon's cloud can be utilized in the device to give drivers alerts about things such as store orders or even help call roadside assistance when needed.

Amazon Echo Auto was first introduced in 2018.
