July 20, 2022—Chevrolet on Monday unveiled the Blazer EV, its first all-electric mid-size SUV.

The new EV will be available starting in the summer of 2023, while a sport model will be released later that fall. According to a news release from the automaker, the Blazer will have a GM-estimated range of up to 320 miles and an estimated zero to 60 time under four seconds.

“The 2024 Blazer EV sets a new tone for electric SUVs, with options and intuitive technologies that help position Chevy for leadership in one of the fastest-growing EV segments,” Chevrolet VP Scott Bell said via the news release. “Along with the all-new Silverado EV and Equinox EV coming next year, we are making great strides in offering more choices for zero tailpipe-emissions vehicles — choices that make switching to an EV easier than ever.”

As with the automakers other new EV offerings, the Blazer will be built on the Ultium Platform, and its design is a blend of its gas-powered predecessor with hints of performance cues from the Camaro and Corvette.

The initial list price for the Blazer EV will start around $45,000.
