May 10, 2022The front line in the battle for Right to Repair has been in Massachusetts ever since 2020, when 70 percent of voters chose to implement statewide legislation that ensured the Right to Repair for all aftermarket providers. In the nearly two years since then, the law has been challenged by a coalition made up of many major OEMs, and a decision in that suit has been delayed by Judge Douglas Woodlock five times.

Aaron Lowe, senior vice president of government and regulatory affairs for the Auto Care Association, breaks down what that long of a delay means for the aftermarket and why shop owners outside of Massachusetts should care about the decision.
