Stellantis CEO Expects Chip Shortage to Run through 2022

May 2, 2022—Carlos Tavares says he expects the semiconductor supply chain to continue to struggle through the next year.
The Stellantis executive says he expects the situation to remain "very similar to that of 2021" according to a report from Reuters. However, he did say that many suppliers are regaining better control of their operations, which could lead to improvement in 2023.
"At the moment Stellantis is hurt by a low number of chip suppliers, maximum three or four," he said per the report.
