March 9, 2022—Stellantis will end operations in Russia, including a plant operated with Mitsubishi.

The Detroit Free Press reports that CEO Carlos Tavares announced the change, saying that disruptions to supply chains and western sanctions toward Russia amid its invasion of Ukraine have upended business.

Tavares called this Russian operations a small part of the overall company. The plant produced Opel, Peugeot, and Citroen models.

The move comes days after fellow Detroit automakers GM and Ford also announced they would be ending their operations in Russia amid the invasion of Ukraine.
