March 3, 2022—Toyota has partnered with EVgo to offer customers who purchase the company's new bZ4X electric compact SUV a full year of free, unlimited charging.

Per a report from Kelley Blue Book, EVgo has around 800 chargers in 35 states, covering just under 70 metropolitan areas. Although the charging company's network is smaller than both Tesla's and Electrify America's, the company says around 130 million Americans live within 10 miles of a charging station.

The bZ4X is Toyota's first modern foray into the realm of electric vehicles. The SUV has an expected range of 230 miles and will be the first vehicle to debut the automaker's Safety Sense 3.0 system of ADAS features.
