Feb. 22, 2022—Subaru has opened reservations for its first electric vehicle through the end of the month.

The 2023 Subaru Solterra will be available for preorder until Feb. 28 according to a report from Kelley Blue Book. The automaker's inaugural all-electric offering is a compact SUV featuring standard all-wheel drive and a range of 220 miles on a full charge. KBB compares the vehicle to Toyota's new bZ4x electric SUV, as both vehicles sport "angular profiles and heavy body cladding around the fenders."

Pricing isn't available for the vehicle, but customers can place a $250 deposit for the vehicle and select their preferred trim and color. The company is only planning to build a limited number of Solterra SUVs in the first year of production.
