Study: EVs are Struggling to Sell
Jan. 12, 2021—A new study has found an ongoing issue in selling electric vehicles, Forbes reported.
The study, published by the mobile insurance comparison site Jerry, suggests that nearly one-third of Americans never foresee buying an electric vehicle and nearly 60 percent don't foresee buying one in the next six years.
“People want an EV until they see the cost difference,” Jerry’s data scientist, Lakshmi Iyengar told the publication. “People don’t usually think long term. And, dealers don’t always have the bandwidth to make the case to buy an EV versus gas-powered vehicle.”
