Jan. 6, 2022—Amazon is set to become Stellantis' first commercial buyer for the automaker's Ram ProMaster BEV van when it launches in 2023.

Financial details of the agreement were not released, per a report from the Detroit Free Press, but the deal promises to put "thousands of BEV ProMasters on the road every year."

A news release cited in the report said the delivery vehicle was designed with input from Amazon, which also holds a stake in EV startup Rivian.

Amazon and Stellantis have already partnered to develop a software package, known as the Stellantis SmartCockpit, for vehicles that will debut sometime in 2024.
