Stellantis to Test Road Hazard Alert System

Nov. 10, 2021—Stellantis will test in the coming months a program that would send alerts of nearby road hazards directly to a vehicle.
According to a news release from the company via the Detroit Free Press, initial tests will be performed on model year 2018 and newer Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles owned by Stellantis in the Detroit metropolitan area.
The program is one of two notification warning systems Stellantis plans to test in Michigan. Depending on the results of those initial tests, the Free Press reports the company could develop a plan for a commercial rollout.
