EVs Lack Appeal to Reach Mainstream Customers
March 4, 2020—Electric cars might be lacking the appeal for mainstream customers, says Carlos Tavares, chief executive of Peugeot, per a Reuters report.
Factors that are detrimental to electric vehicles are the lack of a dense charging network, limited operating range of the car and the long-term price of electricity.
Electric vehicles will need to become more affordable between now and 2025, according to the report.
