DuPont Opens 3 Electrification Centers of Excellence

Oct. 15, 2021—The Mobility & Materials division of DuPont earlier this month opened three testing centers for various facets of electric vehicle production.
According to a report from Battery Technology, each center will focus on three "crucial areas" to help streamline the development of different products and services to help EV development: batter safety, thermal management and e-powertrain efficiency.
"OEMs and suppliers must rise to the challenge to provide more sustainable and advanced vehicle solutions that don’t compromise on performance or safety,” DuPont executive Kara Grasso said. “DuPont has the expertise, technical capabilities, and range of solutions to help our customers meet their toughest challenges, and our new COEs are perfect for inspiration and collaboration.”
The centers will "interact on a global basis" with DuPont's other development centers across the globe, including its new facility in Auburn Hills, Mich.
