National Day Celebrated for Students Signing to Technical Schools

March 3, 2020—Last week, Hartnell College participated in the nationwide career technical education event, which recognizes and honors high school students committing to a technical field, reported Monteray Herald.

The teens dedicated themselves to future in automotive technology and diesel technology programs.

Hartnell College in Salinas, Calif., is a member of the National Coalition of Certification Centers, or NC3, which provides relationships with industry partners as well as a certification process that allows students to document their proficiencies for future employers.

The support from industry partners and faculty members were among the reasons the high school students were looking forward to their future education at Hartnell. They also noted that the affordable education and proximity to home were factors in choosing which program to attend.
