Sept. 28, 2021—The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Monday issued a recall on the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E due to improperly attached windshields and panoramic roof glass.

All units built between Feb. 24, 2020, and July 18, 2021, are affected by the recall, according to documents Fordfiled with the U.S. Department of Transportation per the Detroit Free Press. According to the report, Ford has already recalled more than 31,000 units in the U.S.

"We were made aware from a field report of a cracked windshield repair, and that's where they noted the windshield urethane adhesion. Then we included the panoramic roof because it utilizes the same urethane application process," Ford spokesman Said Deep told the Free Press on Sunday. "When we were made aware, we immediately alerted NHTSA."

At the time of the report, Ford said it wasn't aware of any accidents or injuries caused by improperly attached glass.
