Sept. 13, 2021—Autonomous vehicle startup Aurora on Thursday announced it is donating $65,000 to fund STEM-related projects for local teachers.

The company recently made the decision to move its headquarters to Pittsburgh and said the donation was “a way to support future generations of technologists as they start the new school year,” according to the Trib Live.

“With a firm belief in the future of this city and its workforce, we’re excited to have our corporate headquarters here and to be making a donation that will help fund the city’s next generation of technologists and roboticists,” Aurora Government Relations VP Gerardo Interiano said.

Donations will be distributed through DonorsChoose, a platform that matches teachers with classroom funding.
