May 17, 2021—Over-the-air updates are set to be a key feature of the next generation of vehicles. Ford's system will be called "Power-Up," according to a report from Tech Crunch.

This system will be able to update as many as 80 computer modules on newer models, and the company plans some 33 million vehicles to have Alexa voice controls by 2028.

While wireless updates might aid in small issues related to software, the Alexa assistant will control engine start and stop, door locks, window defrost, and infotainment, reports Tech Crunch.
