April 22, 2021—Subaru has recalled a large number of Crosstrek and Forester vehicles for stalling and bolt issues.

Cnet Roadshow reports that about 400,000 of the recalls deal with a rear stabilizing bracket that has bolts prone to loosening. Another 466,000 are being recalled because faulty ECM software causes stalling. In the latter issue, software might continue to power the ignition coil after the driver shuts off the car.

Affected vehicles are the 2018 to 2019 Crosstrek, the 2019 Crosstrek Hybrid, the 2017 to 2019 Impreza and the 2019 Forester.
