April 21, 2021—Cadillac is raising the profile of its luxury EV, the LYRIQ, for which reservations open in September.

A press release says that it has a rear-wheel-drive drivetrain on General Motors' Ultium Drive platform with 340 horsepower and 300 miles of range.

DC fast charging can add 76 miles of range in 10 minutes, Cadillac says. The car will come with on-demand regenerative braking and what the company calls "one pedal driving," which involves a pressure-sensitive paddle used to control regenerative braking and slowing.
