April 1, 2021—Self-driving company Aurora is partnering with Volvo on autonomous semi trucks that will be on North American roads in the future, reports The Verge.

Aurora has been testing the semis, as well as other concepts, in the Dallas area. This partnership with Volvo has been billed as a long-term relationship.

Aurora has raised $690 million in startup funding. Volvo is the second-largest semi manufacturer and has its own autonomous vehicle ambitions throughout the heavy duty and passenger car segments.
