U.S. Foxconn Site Looks Toward EV Production

March 22, 2021—The Wisconsin site of tech company Foxconn could be used for electric vehicle production, reports Autoblog.
The company is talking to Vietnamese company Vingroup about acquiring EV production equipment. Representatives from Vingroup said that talks were preliminary. Vingroup already has a regional following with its internal combustion vehicles.
Separately, Foxconn suggested that the unused Wisconsin site could be used for EV production. The facility received a lot of hype and tax breaks from local government when it broke ground years ago as a TV manufacturer but has failed to produce anything.
